Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Roadshows

Wounds UK are to hold two roadshows in March 2009, sponsored by Talley Group Ltd, for clinical nurse specialists and other professionals interested in learning all about gauze-based negative pressure wound therapy.

The programme will include an overview on the science behind the therapy, and will discuss the evolution of the gauze based dressing technique since it’s conception, using case reports to demonstrate its development and versatility and highlight how the therapy has been used successfully in a number of complex cases as well as introduce the growing body of clinical evidence available on the use of this technique.
The Best Practice Statement on gauze-based negative pressure wound therapy will be introduced, key points presented and its implementation discussed.
Interactive hands-on demonstrations of the Venturi NPWT system will also be given, providing the delegate with the opportunity to set up the system and apply the Chariker-Jeter gauze based dressing technique in order to understand its ease of use.
To end the day, the speakers will answer both questions noted down throughout the day, and raised via an open mike session.
