Posted: Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Talley Group Ltd is pleased to release financial results for the year ending 31st October 2008. This information shows that business activity grew by 12.8% for the year, including a comparable increase in profit. This progress is predicted to continue for future trading periods as additional products will be released during the second half of 2009, and also into 2010.

The Board of Directors have maintained investment in UK manufacturing, with research and development focusing on quality, value, and innovation, as well as introducing a number of other initiatives to improve the company’s environmental credentials.

These environmental initiatives have involved installing an energy management system resulting in a guaranteed 200000kWh reduction in gas usage that equates to a reduction of 41 tonnes of CO2 emissions, and a new energy efficient lighting system that will result in 83739kWh reduction in electrical consumption that equates to 45 tonnes of CO2.

Both schemes are fully funded by the carbon trust, highlighting the company’s position within the government’s plans to support medium sized businesses and will have saved over 45% of the current building CO2 emissions and reduced the overall energy costs.

Operations Director Kevin Mearns commented;

These latest results are very encouraging and the first half of 2009 has also delivered solid growth. We will continue to introduce further initiatives along with launching further clinically proven cost effective healthcare solutions.
The second half of 2009 will see the introduction of the new Venturi Compact Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System and Quattro Bariatric Support Systems as well as increasing our activity in the antimicrobial arena with the introduction of TECcare Ultra to our existing range.

Products within the Group’s portfolio include the Quattro™ and Base™ range of pressure relieving mattresses and seating systems, Liberty™ and Homecarer™ electric bed frames and the Sentinel™ Bariatric System. Venturi™ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, Multicom™ compression therapy, the Sylvan™ range of specialist duvets and pillows and TECcare™ antimicrobial technology.
