TECare builds on healthcare success in private sector

The latest hygiene technology from Britain’s hospitals and care homes is in demand from the wider private sector.
From today, Talley Environmental Care’s sanitising system – used in front-line wards, GP surgeries and care homes – will help businesses kill superbugs including MRSA and C-Difficile.
A partnership between the healthcare specialist and pest control company Enviroguard will protect bustling restaurants, hotels, offices and shopping centres from contamination, by stopping viruses, moulds and spores in their tracks.
At the system’s heart is a unique broad-spectrum fluid called TECare, which is totally harmless to humans but kills or deactivates 99.9998 of microbes, and keeps killing for up to four weeks.
Under the service, technicians will measure bacteria levels, then sanitise all relevant areas including surfaces such as tables, door handles, worktops, taps, and lift buttons. Further tests results will then document the exceptional hygiene levels for management records and peace of mind.
The new partnership follows demand from the private sector after heightened concern in the catering industry about accountability and the need to demonstrate steps taken to protect customers.
Enviroguard has a strong track record in helping manage properties – clients include Barclays Bank, the National Trust, Government departments, and the Financial Times.
Neil Manser, manager of Talley Environmental Care, said:
This partnership means that the commercial sector can now benefit from the huge wealth of medical research behind TECare, and the front-line experience from within public and private healthcare.
Katja Sinclair, Managing Director of Enviroguard, said:
Today’s managers are not only facing a heightened threat of more virulent strains of bugs, but also pressure from the public and regulatory authorities in a much more accountable environment.
A documented record of their actions will protect them in both areas.
