Talley Group Ltd announces half year results for 2011 - Quality, Service and Value

Business activity in the UK, USA and Export markets grew through the first 6 months of this year and this progress is predicted to continue. Total revenue has grown by more than 11.8% compared to the first 6 months of 2010, and the UK revenue alone has seen a 20.6% increase over this same period.

With a number of significant contract awards from both the Acute and Primary Care sector for both the purchase and rental of the product range, the Group continues to grow its UK customer base. New and potential customer visiting the Head Offices and manufacturing base in Hampshire have been impressed with the facilities and services offered and have enjoyed seeing the products being manufactured on site giving them further insight into the work involved.

The addition of new distribution partners in South Africa and China means the Group now boasts a global distribution network of more than 40 countries, made more satisfying as the Group is now exporting products to countries historically seen as producing low cost, low quality alternative products, clearly demonstrating the company’s ability to compete in the Global market as well as showcasing UK manufacturing.

The US continues to perform well with Compression Therapy and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy products, and the introduction of US specification mattress products later in the year will continue to improve this growth.

The Board of Directors have maintained investment focusing on quality, value, and innovation. With the global market place for medical equipment becoming more competitive and many companies switching research, development and production overseas to save costs, Talley have developed a continually improving, vertically integrated manufacturing base in Hampshire UK, where they design, tool and manufacture their range of products. Investment continues in state-of-the-art moulding and cutting technologies, a multi-skilled workforce using latest technologies, including 3D modelling, CAD software, and advanced surface mount electronics.

This strong UK manufacturing base has ensured the company continues to deliver high quality, clinically proven cost effective products to its expanding customer base. The introduction of new products such as the Pulsair Choice range of alternating mattresses and seating system aimed at the nursing home market is one example of where the Group has continued to developed new and innovative product solutions and more product launches are planned throughout 2011.
