Negative Pressure Wound Therapy is applied utilising the VENTURI Wound Care Set following the therapy application technique first described by Chariker, Jeter et al. in 1989, using saline-moistened gauze, a silicone drain and clear, semi-permeable adhesive film, together with lower pressures, usually between 60-80 mmHg.
