NPWT is applied utilising the Venturi™ wound sealing kit and follows the therapy application technique first described by Chariker and Jeter et al. in 1989, using saline-moistened gauze, a silicone drain and clear, semi-permeable adhesive film, together with lower pressures, usually between 60-80 mmHg.

- The wound sealing kits also include Talley’s unique hydrogel adhesive patch to help ensure an airtight seal where the drain exits the wound
- The hydrogel patch has a highly breathable low trauma acrylic skin adhesive on both sides. which is particularly suited to contact with skin, protecting the peri-wound area and minimising skin damage on dressing change
- The semi-permeable adhesive film dressing ensures an excellent airtight seal around the dressing
