International recognition, a NEW webshop and a JCN article
20th July 2018
We thought it was going to be really tough to follow such a brilliant June but…… July has been equally as impressive for a whole host of reasons.
The month kicked off with the Journal of Community Nursing publishing a highly informative article highlighting the potential pitfalls and problems around the classification of powered PAC support surfaces. Click HERE to read the full article. It was particularly encouraging to see Kirsty Mahoney (Clinical nurse specialist, wound healing, from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board) pushing for greater regulation for specialist PAC support surfaces in this specific area by stating;
I think that stronger guidance and recommendations would be welcome, especially in ensuring that all pressure-relieving products are registered as Class IIa, and regulated accordingly.
Well said Kirsty! Everyone at Talley Group echoes your views and we couldn’t agree with you more! Let’s hope that more of Kirsty’s colleagues start calling for tighter regulation around support surface classification.
Ultimately both clinical staff and responsible medical device manufacturers want to provide safe, effective, harm free care to patients and increasing regulation around support surfaces can only help achieve this in the long term.
For those of you who have been paying attention to our social media feeds you will also have noticed that July has also seen us launch our very own webshop selling a selection of our brilliant TECcare products.
The webshop is a great opportunity for members of the public to access these products without having to buy them in bulk. So if you want to reduce the risk posed by viruses, bacteria, moulds, yeast and fungi and protect your family, home, business, car etc. by creating and maintaining the cleanest possible environment then click the link and order your products here.
And last but by no means least, we are delighted to report our recent success in winning the Meachers Global Logistics Export Award honour in the South Coast Business Awards. The judges said
“The Talley Group showed a cohesive sales and marketing strategy which has helped them to have steady growth and good financial results over the last five years.”

After such a busy and successful July we can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in August so why not keep an eye on our news page and social media feeds as I’ve got a feeling there will be something important happening during August.
Operations Director Kevin Mearns says:
There is a lot of really great, very positive things happening at Talley at the moment. Our international team did really well in achieving their recent award, we have the totally new webshop now open for business and the article in this months JCN was great to see as the topic of support surface classification is one that is very close to our hearts at Talley.
