Exclusive PAC category partners with Wound Care Today for 2020

13th January 2020

With Talley being the UK's largest privately owned manufacturer of specialist Pressure Area Care (PAC) support surfaces, we are delighted to be continuing our exclusive pressure ulcer category partnership with Wound Care Today throughout 2020.

We are currently working hard on putting the finishing touches to our plans for the FREE to attend WCT2020 conference where our goal will be to help you STOP PRESSURE ULCERS. Click here for our event flyer and see why you should visit our stand.

We are using our exhibition stand at WCT2020 to create a fun, interactive and informal learning environment where our brilliant PAC team will be on hand to share their expertise and knowledge with you throughout the conference on the 26th and 27th of February.

As well as providing general information and advice about pressure ulcer prevention and management, we will be looking specifically at the essential role PAC support surfaces can play in helping you #stopthepressure on your patients.

We recognise that the world of PAC support surfaces can be confusing, so this year we are stripping it back and laying it bare in order to take you inside the mattress so you can truly understand how these products work and how they manage the pressure applied to your patients’ skin.

If you want to know how air cell design can impact clinical outcomes and patient comfort, why foam mattresses are cut in certain ways, or how a hybrid mattress works, then come and get your hands on our interactive PAC product wall and ask one of our expert team to walk you through our comprehensive mattress range.

By understanding the fundamental principles of how various different support surfaces work and the type of therapy they deliver, it will enable you to differentiate between mattresses and ensure you provide your patients with the most appropriate product to meet their clinical needs.

Here are just some of the brilliant reasons to visit our team on Stand 75 at this year’s conference;

  • Take away your FREE copy of our NEW PAC clinical education resource being launched at WCT2020.
  • Test yourself with our fast, fun and fabulous ‘REACT-TO-RED’ challenge. Hit the most targets to win a prize!
  • Pick up your FREE pocket sized Pressure Ulcer Classification Guide
  • Use our fantastic NEW interactive, hands-on PAC demonstration wall to understand the difference between ‘active’ vs. ‘reactive’ therapy, and ‘immersion’ vs. ‘envelopment’. See and feel how different mattresses impact on patients pressure areas.
  • Gain CPD points for revalidation with free to access, independent education about all aspects of pressure ulcers and pressure area care. Click here for more information.
  • Visit our ‘PAC Education Station’ and ask our resident TVN Sue anything you like about pressure ulcer prevention and management.
  • Learn about the new international PAC support surfaces standard (ISO 20342-1) which applies to ALL foam, hybrid and air mattresses.

We look forward to meeting you in Milton Keynes and welcoming you to our exhibition stand at the Marshall Arena.

Sales Director John McEwen says;

This is the third year in a row we have opted to work with the team at Wound Care Today as their exclusive pressure ulcer category partner.

Their commitment to delivering the highest quality, independent, free-to-access PAC education and e-learning is exactly the type of educational content we want to be associated with, so for us this opportunity is an absolute ‘no-brainer’.

For every healthcare provider focussed on reducing pressure ulcer incidence we know that quality clinical education is just as important as class-leading PAC products. Therefore partnering with Wound Care Today ensures that whenever we are speaking to our UK and overseas customers, we can advise them about how to access this brilliant, free, on-line educational resource.

In addition to the free to access on-line information and education, as a company we are delighted to support the FREE to attend annual WCT conference. For this level of conference to be totally free for all clinicians really does set the bar for the rest of the healthcare industry to aspire to.

We are genuinely excited to be exhibiting at WCT2020 next month and we look forward to welcoming you to our stand and helping you #stopthepressure on your patients.
