At Talley we understand that during the winter months the NHS typically faces its busiest time of the year.

Figures published from last winter show that in January 2017 the number of general and acute escalation beds (i.e. the additional beds opening temporarily to cope with increased demand) effectively doubled within a week to over 31,000. This was equivalent to opening 8 new hospitals to cope with the demand placed on the NHS by winter pressures!

With such rapid and sizeable increases in demand, and the fluctuating nature of winter pressures we recognise that you may need to open a ward at short notice in order to increase capacity.
