Let Talley give you a helping hand this winter with our winter offers

03rd October 2019

With October rapidly approaching the NHS is starting to prepare for winter and the associated pressures that this brings on bed spaces.

The winter months often push healthcare providers to breaking point as a result of increased admissions, infection outbreaks and bed occupancy rates.

Between January-March 2018 the Royal College of Surgeons reported overnight bed occupancy rates in NHS hospitals as 92.6%, the highest ever recorded and far in excess of the maximum 85% bed occupancy level which is recommended to maintain patient safety standards.

The result for providers is that their facilities reach full capacity and the only solution to ease the pressure is to temporarily open up additional beds to help absorb the impact of increasing patient admissions, and to reduce the infection risk posed by high bed occupancy rates.

To help healthcare providers temporarily increase capacity we are delighted to use this month’s news to focus on our winter pressures campaign which runs through until February 29th 2020.

To help meet the demand for increased beds this winter we are offering a comprehensive range of bedframes which can be rented with or without mattresses to meet your specific clinical requirements. Our bedframes and support surfaces are available across the UK and our dedicated team of service engineers and technicians will ensure delivery within 24 hours of the order being placed.

The testimonial below, highlights just how satisfied the customer was with both our bedframes and our service as we offered them a helping hand in their hour of winter pressure need:

During the winter we needed to ease the pressure on the Trust’s bed capacity by opening an additional, temporary, 24 bedded ward.

Talley stepped into the breach and supplied 24 beds, at minimal notice. The beds arrived as planned on the 21st December and they were unloaded, electrically safety tested and delivered into the bed spaces by a very efficient Talley team, who also delivered training to the Ward staff upon completion of delivery.

The beds surpassed all our expectation and after a much appreciated, 3-month rental period the pressure had subsided and the beds were no longer required. The Talley team removed them in the same equally efficient manner that they arrived.

Should we find ourselves in such a situation again, we wouldn’t have any concerns with looking to Talley to help us out once more.

We know how tough it can be for all healthcare providers during the winter months and there is often an urgent need for additional, temporary bed capacity to be added at very short notice. Our winter offer has been specifically designed to meet the short term bed space needs of any healthcare provider.

Being both agile and flexible in our approach allows us to meet a wide range of requests from providing a single bedframe to an entire ward full of bedframes along with a mixture of foam and more specialist PAC support surfaces.

Talley have one of the most professional and dedicated UK wide service teams in the medical device industry so we are perfectly placed to respond quickly to customers’ needs and we look forward to providing a helping hand to any healthcare provider facing bed occupancy pressures this winter.
